Si tratta, come detto, di un risultato stratosferico soprattutto perché dobbiamo considerare che sul mercato Apple ha appena una manciata di device mentre gli altri produttori ne hanno almeno il doppio.
Allargando questa statistica, scopriamo anche che l’iPhone ha rappresentato circa il 17% delle vendite in tutto il 2015, il che ha contribuito a far generare circa il 54% del fatturato totale ad Apple. C’è bisogno di fare una piccola precisazione in quanto questi numeri potrebbero creare un po’ di confusione: per fatturato si intende il corrispettivo in denaro che Apple ha ottenuto dalla vendita degli iPhone mentre per profitto si intende il fatturato generato meno tutte le spese inerenti a quel prodotto (hardware, di sviluppo, di marketing ecc.).
Per quanto riguarda la concorrenza, la maggioranza delle vendite rimane ancora nelle mani di Samsung con circa il 24% del totale, il quale ha portato nelle casse del colosso coreano il 14% del totale dei profitti del settore.
Insomma, gli smartphone si dimostrano essere ancora una volta delle vere e proprie miniere d’oro e la cosa impressionante è che la loro crescita, in termini commerciali, non si arresterà ancora per qualche anno.
