Il tanto rumoreggiato LG V510 non era un nuovo tablet Nexus, bensì un edizione Google Play Edition di uno già esistente, nella fattispecie il GPad 8.3.
Il GPad 8.3 è così il primo tablet che entra a far parte della schiera dei dispositivi Google Play Edition (di cui fanno già parte delle versioni degli smartphone HTC One e Samsung Galaxy S4, ed ora anche del phablet Sony Xperia Z Ultra).
GPad 8.3 è un tablet di ultima generazione equipaggiato con hardware degno di nota, come il SoC Snapdragon 600, un display WUXGA (1920×1200) da 8.3 pollici, 2 GB di RAM e 16 GB di memoria interna. La versione Google Play Edition monterà ovviamente Android 4.4 KitKat AOSP, ovvero in versione totalmente pura.
Questa versione è già disponibile nel Play Devices allo stesso prezzo della versione normale con la Optimus UI, vale a dire 350$.
