Oggi la società coreana, a distanza di un anno, ha spiegato il motivo di tale scelta.
Un’altra critica che venne mossa a Samsung era la mancata possibilità di andare a cambiare la batteria, visto che molti utenti ne avevano stretta necessità. Comunque sia, quest’anno, con la presentazione di Galaxy S7 e Galaxy S7 Edge (qui il nostro articolo dedicato), la società coreana ha cercato di far contenti ad una buona fetta dei propri utenti, quindi reinserendo lo slot per la Micro SD ed utilizzando materiali “nobili” per la scocca.

Ha spiegare il motivo della mancanza dello slot Micro SD su Galaxy S6 e Galaxy S6 Edge è stato Kyle Brown di Samsung, comunicando che un eventuale implemento di tale supporto, lo smartphone avrebbe subito dei rallentamenti da renderlo inutilizzabile. Su tali device la società aveva implementato la memoria UFS 2.0, tre volte più veloce rispetto alle precedenti eMMC 5.0.
Inoltre, l’azienda era preoccupata che i dati salvati sulla scheda SD avrebbero rallentato lo smartphone. Comunque sia tutto ciò è stato risolto con la presentazione dei nuovi top di gamma. A questo punto, alla società coreana non spetta altro che migliorarsi ulteriormente, magari ridando la possibilità ai propri utenti di andare a cambiare la batteria.
